Spend your weekday mornings with
Child-centered, Brain-Boosting, Wonder-filled, Reggio-Inspired Creative Play
Play Matters
Join us for our Play! program Monday - Friday from 9 am - 1 pm for child-led creative and inquiry-based play invitations. Each week is centered around a book theme, tying pre-literacy to sensory play, math, science, and art. Through Reggio-inspired invitations, children are guided by their interests to explore cause + effect and imaginative play. This program aides in school readiness through cognitive + motor development and socialization + seperation skill building opportunities.
Our Play Program offers Membership and drop-in options for flexibility. Play! is best suited for ages two through six. From 8 am -9 am we offer a special toddler hour with taste-safe sensory materials and a seperate membership.

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Play builds more complex brains.
Diverse research shows play is part of our neurobiology. Child-led play is overwhelmingly touted as the gold standard for learning, and prioritizing child-led play in the early years offers immense benefits such as emotional regulation, higher math comprehension, creativity, language development, and reasoning skills, to name a few long term brain-boosts.
Our Play! membership gives access to 20 hours of weekday morning play. This gives plenty of opportunities to build that brain power while enjoying sensory play, art, and just plain ol’ fun.
With several sign up options, our program is flexible and easy to fit into your week! Feel good about your day and come to Blossom to play!

Play! is best suited for ages 2-6 who want enrichment play, socialization, and school readiness skill-building.
Our Play! program is designed by a former preschool owner/operator, decades long childcare provider, and mom.
For children ages 1 + 2 who may still be putting items in their mouth, we suggest our Toddler program.
Siblings may join play, but please keep in mind this program is for preschool ages and as such we have preschool age materials and sensory items that may not be taste-safe. It is always the parent or caregiver’s responsibility to monitor the children they bring to Blossom.

Come whenever works for you within our program’s scheduled time. Our Play! program offers unstructured play. Children will enjoy the freedom to follow their interests and explore what calls to them! Each week offers Reggio-inspired play invitations centered around a book theme. Parents are welcome to read the book with their children, and children will have access to sensory-style books to browse as well. Parents can engage with their children, or just hang out if they are not needed. This is a perfect school readiness program for kids who aren’t ready for drop off just yet. If this is why you are joining, let us know and we can help with tips and tricks for separation and social skill building. Our program is also a great chance for bonding. Play! is great for nannies, grandparents, or whatever trusted grownup kids bring. Grown ups can play with their kiddo, or sit back and let the kids get to work. Play! is not drop off- parents must remain in the building and are responsible for their children at all times.

We are limiting how many membership passes we offer to make sure every member has weekly access to the Play! program. We know that members will utilize their membership with varying frequencies.
We are limiting memberships to make sure every member can attend 3 times a week. We know most members will only come once or twice a week, so we think this structure will allow everyone enough room for their own schedule. Playing at Blossom does use up a lot of cognitive functioning- older preschoolers may be fine staying for a couple of hours, but 2s and 3s typically tire out after an hour.
Our Teeny Tiny space allows for 10 families at a time. If space becomes an issue, we will work out a pre-register system where everyone can save 2 sessions a week on Sundays, with the ability to drop in whenever there is room. We don’t think we will have to do this assuming most members won’t be coming every day what with other activities, outdoor play, and sickness. If things do get too busy and aren’t naturally leveled out, we will lower our membership capacity. We have gotten nothing but requests for membership and are trying our best to make it possible in our Teeny Tiny space. We want to be fully transparent that to make it possible we do have to sell a certain number of memberships are will do our best to make sure there is always room for every member. This may take a little time to work out kinks, so please reach out with any issues so we can work on fixing them as they occur.

Play! Members qualify for 10% off birthday parties after being a member for 3 months.
Play Members also get first access to sign up for special events and learn about sensory product drops before they’re announced on social media.
Joining our Play! program significantly helps our program function. We appreciate our members!
FAQs

No! We understand many families have multiple children. Our “age ranges” are developmental.
The Play! Program is best suited for children ages 2.5 - 6 who are not still putting items into their mouths. During the Play! Program, we will have materials out that are not taste-safe and can be considered choking hazards. The materials and items are great for preschool ages who are not putting items into their mouth, and further 3-6 year olds’ needs for fine motor skills and the dramatic play that increases literacy skills. It is always the responsibility of the parent or caretaker bringing each child to Blossom to monitor and protect that/those child(ren). Blossom Play Space is not responsible or liable for children to attend our Play! Program. If you have a child who is still exploring by putting items in their mouth, they are better suited for our Toddler Program. It is up to the parent or caregiver to decide which program is best suited for their child(ren)’s development and needs.
We want parents and caregivers to enjoy this time as much as their children do! We suggest ages 1-3 for the Toddler Program and ages 2.5 - 6 who aren’t mouthing for the Play! Program.

Our capacity is super low at Blossom- typically not more than 10 families at a time. Because of this, we do have a limit to how many memberships we can sell.
Monthly Memberships are on a subscription basis. This means they automatically renew. This also means your spot is saved indefinitely until you cancel your membership. We can not guarantee your membership spot will be available to you again if you cancel. You will get an email reminder 7 days before your subscription renews. We do not refund or transfer memberships. If you would like to cancel, make sure to do so before renewal. If you change your email, please update this in our system so you will receive renewal notices. We can do this for you on our end as well, just ask.
-
Our Play! Program is not drop off. Parents or caregivers must attend with the children they bring- but parents do not have to be the caregiver attending.
We have many nannies, grandparents, aunts, or even friends carpooling kids to Blossom. As our capacity and parking lot is limited- we appreciate carpoolers! We can offer a sibling price to those who add kids to their carload or walk to us. Please reach out for more on this!
-
We offer a drop in option at $15/session and the option to buy 10 passes for $100.
These are both great options for those who live out of town or are typically busy weekday mornings.
The monthly membership starts to save with just 3 drop ins- If you come about once a week, it’s probably a better idea to buy the monthly membership to make sure you have a spot!
